We designed our products to be self-sustaining and auto-managing. Our product uses self- managing clusters at its core and does not use the sharding methods that have been known to cause outages at high data loads. Citrusleaf does not require extensive configuration, tuning or hand-holding. It self-manages as necessary – even under hardware failures and heavy load.

Scalable and Elastic

Citrusleaf is a self-organizing, distributed, high available, linearly scalable system for data storage and retrieval. It was specifically designed using distributed systems technology to ensure linear scalability and high availability in the face of component failures. Distributed consensus and automatic data rebalancing algorithms provide robust self-management of the system during failures. The nodes in a Citrusleaf cluster automatically adapt to the addition of new or the removal of existing nodes from the cluster. Each node runs a copy of the Citrusleaf software on a commodity server and has three critical functions: transaction processing, participating in the cluster’s distributed consensus system, and migrating data to the other nodes as necessary. Citrusleaf will maintain exceptional performance while scaling to meet our customers needs.
